Yesterday in my travels around the area, I happened upon something I long ago thought ceased to exist — the payphone. I actually picked up the receiver to see if it worked and, yes, indeed, it did. The use of payphones has been largely abandoned because of the increase in the number of mobile phones. It seems everyone these days, from kindergarten age to 100 owns a mobile phone. You can imagine my surprise when I stumbled upon this one in north Atlanta!
Folks, hang on to that extra change for something other than a toll booth (which I really wish would become a think of the past) and have it just in case you are ever without your mobile phone!
